Different procedures during  Panchakarma Treatment

Abhyanga

 

Relaxes and lubricates tissues and joints, etc., loosens impurities, and pacifies vata dosha. Abhyanga done on daily basis brings youthfulness, removes tiredness, gives energy, nourishment and longevity.

Shirodhara

 

"Shirodhara is relaxing, and is mentioned in the texts mainly for Vata disturbances. It is especially beneficial for neurological problems and things related to paralysis [blocking of the nerves and subtle frequencies in the body]. It improves the quality of sleep.

 

 

Patra Potli
(Patra Pinda Swedana)

 

Performed after abhyanga for the first seven days of Panchakarma, or longer if needed. The gentle pounding and heat soften and flush the deeper toxins, while the oils, leaves, and herbs in the boluses help to nourish the tissues and release pain, stiffness, etc.

 

 

Banana Treatment
 

Banana Treatment is special treatment meant for females. It is extremely beneficial for many disorders(hormonal disorders, digestive disorders, obesity, skin problems, gyneacological issues). It detoxifies the whole body specially the urinary tract. It is said a banana treatment is equivalent to taking 23 days of Panchakarma. This treatment has had miraculous results for many patients and people who have undergone this have given wonderful feedback about the same but having said all this we do not claim any guarantee for any results.
 

Basti

 

Bastis are an essential part of the panchakarma treatment. It cleanses the accumulated toxins from all the 3 doshas. Bastis also are highly beneficial as a rejuvenating treatment. 

Medicated oil or ghee and herbal decoctions is given as enema to cleanse. 

There are different types of bastis, like Matra Basti, Ksheera Basti, and Shodhana Basti. 

The bastis cycle begins towards the end of the panchakarma, after all the other treatments have softened and loosened the impurities flushing them out via the blood stream etc. and preparing them to be expelled from the body for good.

Takradhara

 

Takradhara is a constant flow of cool, herbalized buttermilk poured  over your forehead. It is usually given for seven days following abhyanga or patra potli , it is very good for the brain, head, scalp and hair.

Even though it is a head treatment, it is also highly beneficial for the whole body. Takradhara is also especially stimulating and strengthening to the hypothalamus, is deeply calming and promotes good mind-body coordination.

 

 

 

Udvartana

 

A herbal powder is used to massage the whole body. This treatment balances Kapha and weight. It brings stability to the body and gives radiance and glow to the skin. It enhances the strength and stability of the body  It is very good for circulation and helps with lymphatic drainage.

Nasya

 

The nose is the straight path to the brain.So that is why nasya is so powerful: it clears out all the imbalances in the head.That is why good purification as well as nourishment comes from nasya. It changes the brain by purifying.

Netra Tarpana

 

This treatment involves soaking the eyes with special herbalised ghee to draw out the toxins and lubricate, nourish, and strengthen the tissues. Repeated treatments can repair major problems for eye health and vision.

Swedana

 

This treatment promotes sweat of all the body and cures stiffness and heaviness of the body.

Sweating helps the doshas to liquidify and it makes it easy for the toxins to flow out of the body. It also rids the body of impurities and opens up the pores.

It is good for cough, headache, constipation, arthritis paralysis as well as reducing heaviness in the body.

Marma Therapy

 

Marma Therapy is the art of treating very special vital points on the human body, and is one of the greatest healing secrets of Ayurveda. It can be used to detoxify the body, to strengthen and revitalise, for rejuvenation and relaxation, and to release blocked energy.

 

Through these energy points we can stimulate the function of internal organs, strengthen self-healing power, and harmonize mind and body. We can improve eyesight, balance the digestive system, alleviate headaches, reduce tension, and alleviate or cure many everyday complaints.

Localized herbal oil application

 

These localized treatments are applied on the back, knees, neck and naval area.

They are given as needed using little wells made from dough that are gently filled with warm oil over and over, which soaks into the tissues, bringing out the toxins and strengthening key points in the physiology. 

They energized and strenghtnes the joints.
